Dramatic ArtsFor all wishing to immerse themselves in the dramatic arts, drama courses can be taken in all four years of highschool.
Besides normal drama courses, Nantyr Shores offers more specialized courses for grade 11's and 12's. Such as, Drama production and even film and video drama. |
Visual ArtsNantyr has the perfect courses for all aspiring
artists. Starting in grade 9, students can enroll in the visual arts course. This course can be taken all four years of high school. Take visual arts and explore drawing, printmaking, painting and sculpture. Starting in grade 9, students can enroll in the visual arts course and continue to take it into their senior years to develop a portfolio. Take visual arts and explore drawing, printmaking, painting, sculpture, and the art of Canada and of other cultures. |
Musical ArtsMusicians rejoice! Nantyr Shores offers music courses for any musician.
For band musicians, take the instrumental music course and be part of Nantyr Shores band!. Nantyr also offers guitar courses (available in gr.10 and gr.11) and vocal courses. If you prefer to dance, be part of Nantyr's dance troupe when you take one of our dance courses available all 4 years. |
Media ArtsIn the developing world, media arts is becoming exponentially more important than ever before!
For those wishing to immerse themselves in the artistic side of the digital world, this journey begins in grade 9 non-traditional arts. This course is necessary for all other media arts programs. These courses allow students to learn the intricacies photography and graphic design. Also allowing students to express themselves, using photography. |
DanceThe Nantyr Shores dance program focuses on the development of student's technique and creative skills. Students will relate the elements of dance in a variety of performance situations and expand their abilities through collaboration. Contemporary dance along with cultural themed dances are often explored in this program.
